2 Year Blogiversary

 

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I first started this blog! I’ve had such a wonderful time getting to post about what I love and actually having people follow, like, and comment on it! It makes me so happy!

We now have 102 lovely followers. I’m so grateful for each and everyone of you who decided to follow me and view my posts! 😉 I believe we’ve improved tremondously since last year. Last year we had 52 followers now we have 103! We had posted 285 times now we’ve posted 382 times almost 100 posts in a year.

Memorial Day Celebration

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Today is the day we celebrate to appreciate and remember those who have died fighting for our freedom. I’ve prepared a photo-story to honor those who have fallen. I hope you enjoy!

Emily’s POV

Kristen had gathered us together for a Memorial Day Ceremony outside.

 

“Thank you for joining us.” said Kristen.

‘If you would now join me in the Pledge of Allegiance.”

We all saluted and repeated the Pledge of Allegiance.

*I am aware that you only salute when in full uniform, tecnically Emily is the only one in a uniform, but it is not possible to make American Girl Dolls place their hands over there hearts.*

Next I came up and led a prayer

“Dear Lord,

We thank you, for giving us the opportunity to gather here. We thank you for those who fight or have fought for our country. We ask you be with their families today. Let us always thank you for everything.

Amen”

After that, Ellie came up and gave a history of Memorial Day.

“The first Memorial Day was after the Civil War in 1865. When during springtime people held celebrations honoring those who had died by having large prayer sessions and putting flowers on the grave of soldiers. On May 5th, 1866 Waterloo, New York held a city wide celebration of Memorial Day. It was not observed as a national holiday till 1971. It was first called Decoration Day until it was changed to Memorial Day sometime during the 1900s.”

Sam then led us in some songs.

Sneak Peek at Summer Series!

Hello everyone! 🙂 I’m back from Tennesse we placed third! 😀 Woo! Now I’m back with super exciting info about this summer’s upcoming series. I’ve done so many series and I’ve never made it past like episode 3. But now I’ve gathered knowledge from many bloggers who have given me tips and I’m ready to try again. I promise this is gonna be great. Now first things first the name…. *drumroll*

This summer’s series is….. The Adventures of Lady Rose Marie! Such a pretty name isn’t it.

Now you know the name… but you have no clue what it’s about… I’ll give you a second to guess…

Have any ideas! Okay, I’ll tell you!

The year is 1918, Rose Marie is an orphan living in a small town in England. The orphanage she lives in is over run with girls, Rose Marie makes the best but has high hopes of living the life of a queen. When her Grandmother she’s never met remakes contact. Rose Marie is whisked away to a mansion in the countryside where Grandmother is set on teaching Rose Marie how to be a lady. Soon enough Rose Marie meets Emmie the next door girl who shows her the magic in life. The girls soon learn of mystical treasure, soon they are on an adventure that is very unladylike and quite exciting. 

I’m so excited for this! *squeal* Let’s meet our lovely characters.

WHAT! Last night, I checked my follower count for really no reason. When I saw 100 followers! AHH! 😀 Thanks to all who follow, like, comment, and take time to read my blog. I sat on my new bed scrolling through videos, I’d recently taken.

When Emily burst into the room.

“ELLIE!!!!” she yelled.

“Yes, Emily.” I replied, setting down my camera.

“The Dolls of Texas, just hit 100 followers!” she cried, hugging me. 

“Did someone say 100 followers?” cried Kristen rushing in.

“Woo! Hoo!!” yelled Molly, waving her arms around like a bird.

“This is so awesome.” I squealed.

“I know!” replied Emily.

A Llama in the House *AGPS*

Hello everyone, how do you like the blog post header. I decided to start using Canva; Sam from AG Doll Awesome suggested it. 🙂

Molly’s POV

It was a pretty normal afternoon, I layed on my bed reading the best series ever Harry Potter. When Emily rushed in,

“Have you seen my llama?” she yelled, bursting into my room.

“No I haven’t seen your llama.” I said annoyed that she decided to interupt me reading my book.

“Tell me if you see her.” said Emily running out of the room.

Emily’s POV 

I walked into Sam’s room. “Sam have you seen Snickers?” I asked.

“No, I haven’t,” said Sam who was playing with her toys.

“Are you sure?” I asked.

“Yes. I’m pretty sure, I would know if a llama was in my room.” said Sam sarcastically.

All of a sudden I heard a scream from the kitchen.

“A llama ate my cupcakes.” screamed Lyssie extremely distressed that her cupcakes were being eaten.

“There you are Snickers.” I said.

“Get your gross animal out of her.” cried Lyssie.

Galaxy – AG Photo Contest

Hello everyone! Samantha over at AG Doll Awesome is hosting a super fun photo contest for AG bloggers! 🙂 You can still sign up here, until March 6th, she only has 3 spots left though. Anyway the theme was galaxy, I was super stumped on what to do and this is what I came up with. I picked a horrible day to do the shoot though; it was sunny and windy! 😛

At first, I was planning on doing a cool thing with Emily in space using a black sheet that didn’t work. So then it was onto everyone’s favorite Star Wars!

Family Meeting *AGPS*

Hello everyone! 🙂 It’s been a while since I posted a photo-story and thought it was time to do another one. I’m hoping to be doing more photo-stories one a week maybe. 😛

Kristen’s POV

“Okay everybody, listen up!” I yelled over the chaos of my sister talking/arguing.

“I have some announcements.” I started.

“We need to start having more family time. I mean.. half of us barely know each other, and we haven’t even properly introduced Cici to the family.

“Hello everyone!” said Cici.

“And now for my big announcement.” I said standing up to make it more dramatic. “I’ve decided to have family jobs.” I called.

“Say what.” cried Sam.

“Jobs.. sounds like work and I’m lazy.” said Marisol matter-of-factly.

“I know guys, it sounds scary but trust me it’ll be fun!” I said cheerily. “Here are the jobs

Cook

Dog Walker/Pet Carer

Babysitter

Laundry

Planner

and

Homework Helper.” I said

“I’ll do cook.” said Molly excitedly.

“I guess I can do laundry since.. I like to “borrow” peoples clothes.” said Marisol.

“Planner for me.” cried Sam.

“Me and Cici, can be the dog walkers.” said Lyssie.

“I guess… I’ll be the homework helper and babysitter.” said Emily hesitatantly.

Twas’ A Christmas Dance.. Party..

Ahh! It’s Christmas Eve… already. I’m so so so excited. Tomorrow we get to open presents, go to church, and have a delicious Christmas dinner/lunch. I haven’t done enough Christmas posts this holiday season. *ggrr* I have so many awesome ideas but sadly not enough time. 😛 Onto the Christmas post..

*Kristen’s POV*

7:00 pm 

The whole week had been a big bundle of excitement all counting down to this.. the official Dolls of Texas.. Christmas Eve extravaganza. 😀

“Okay everybody.. let’s track Santa!” squealed Sam.. the leader of the Santa Fan Club.

“He’s in Canada.” said Sam.

“Cool!” cried Brooklyn.

8:15 pm 

“Let’s jam!” cried Sam.. putting on some techno Christmas music.

“Jam out.” replied Marisol.

“Everybody, tomorrow is my 1 year anniversary of being here.” said Brooklyn excitedly.

“Woo! Hoo!!” yelped Emily giving Brooklyn a giant hug.

8:00 pm 

“I learned a few new Christmas songs.” said Molly.

“Dance party!” cried me and Emily in unison.

Soon enough we were all dancing and being crazy Christmas weirdos.

“WOO!” screamed Lyssie who had obviously needed to lay off the M&M’s she had been devouring since 6:00 pm.

The dance party ended somewhere around 8:45. When we all had a sugar crash.

11:00 pm 

Finally, at 11:00 after a lot of eggnog. We decided to hit the hay.

“Good night everybody.” I whispered.

Sorry that there wasn’t a sleeping pic. My camera unfortunetly also had to much eggnog and decided to die… 😀 Merry Christmas to y’all and thanks for following me dilegently throughout the whole year. What dolls are you hoping to get this Christmas??

Who Wore It Best: Results

Wow! I completely forgot to post the results. This was supposed to come out Dec. 3rd or something. That alright though. Now to the results…. *drumroll*

The winner is…. Brooklyn who came in with 6 votes!! 😀 Second place was Kristen with 4 votes. And third was Emily with 3 votes and poor Lyssie didn’t get any.  😉 Thanks for voting. Y’all seemed to like the Who Wore it Best.. so they’re will probably be more in the future.

Fall Photoshoot *Starring Emily*

Yay! I’m back! 🙂 It’s been a little while since I posted. But if you remember a year ago… I did a photo-shoot called Fall is Here, this is kinda’ve like a flashback to it but I took new pictures! And man re-looking at that, I have to say my photography has improved considering I went from Ipad to Video Camera, to Nikon! 😉

Emily’s eyes.. are SO blue. I never noticed that.. 😛
